***ANNOUNCEMENTS***

THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING IN 2011 NRAM!
Thank you to everyone who participated in National Radon Action Month activities this year! As a result of your efforts, nearly 2,100 activities were submitted from 37 states across the country. Full results information will be posted soon on RadonLeaders.org.

In the meantime, to share your efforts in encouraging radon testing and mitigation, visit the NRAM Share Your Story Web page at

RADON STATE DATA EXCHANGE
The Radon State Data Exchange is currently exploring the collection of data and its subsequent use. The intention is to build a centralized radon database through collaboration with radon stakeholders, while making sure that the states that have established databases are comfortable with the purpose and process of this endeavor.

As a result, participants are working with EPA’s Office of Environmental Information and CDC's Environmental Public Health Tracking Network to learn more about their experiences with data collaboration. The Radon State Data Exchange participants want to consider establishing a shared resource that many states can participate in and jointly keep our data, and then can be used in different ways, including mapping. Moreover, as more data comes in, the overall data set will be stronger.

EPA's Exchange Network and CDC's Environmental Public Health Tracking Network are offering demo sessions so that participants and anyone else interested can learn more about their services. If you are interested in participating in one or more of the sessions, please notify Peggy Bagnoli by email at bagnoli.peggy@epa.gov. Peggy will add you to the invite list so you can properly register for the webinars and participate in the conference call.

- Exchange Network on April 5th from 2:00-3:00 pm (EDT); and
- CDC on either April 6th or April 14th, from 2:00-3:00 pm (EDT)

Also, please consider including the type of data you collect here: www.radonleaders.org/exchange/schema. For additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact Peggy Bagnoli at bagnoli.peggy@epa.gov.
