Event Description
The first Minnesota Radon Stakeholder meeting will be taking place in St. Paul on February 4th at the MDH Snelling Office Park location. It will start at 9:00AM and end at 4:00PM. The format of our meetings is generally two three hour sessions with a networking lunch in between.
In the morning there will be a presentation by Dan Delano from Olmsted County about how his local public health office got involved in radon testing, what services they provide, and how their program has had an impact on a local and state level. It should be a great presentation and provide some insight into a very successful approach to radon education. The morning session will also include an overview of statewide activities and provide LPH offices a chance to compare notes on how to best leverage MDH resources to provide radon education.

The afternoon session will be used for discussion of the topic covered in the morning. This will be a chance for other radon stakeholders (e.g. mitigators, testers, researchers, nonprofit and government officers) to discuss how their efforts impact those of the others and learn what other agencies, organizations, or businesses have had success with. Additionally, a presentation by the Minneapolis Department of Regulatory Services will be given to teach mitigators what is required of them to work within Minneapolis.
