Local Public Health Test Kit Giveaway

Last fall, MDH sent a radon programming survey and test kit order form to every county local public health (LPH) office in the state. Those returning the survey and order form were entitled to receive up to 200 short-term test kits and 50 long-term kits to be sold or given away to their constituents beginning January 5th. About half of all county health departments in the state participated, and MDH distributed over 5000 kits in total. Some LPH offices reported being out of kits within two days of offering.
