Event Description
Pat Smith presented a radon awareness class to Rise Real Estate realtors . Realtors were educated about the Alabama Radon Education Program, Basic Radon Facts and Key Messages About Radon in Alabama. A power point Radon in the Real Estate Transaction " The Realtor's Role" was shown to realtors . A discussion and question and answers session was held at the end of the presentation. A total of 30 realtors attended the class. Realtors were encouraged to test their own homes for radon. Test kits were made available at the end of the presentation. Other contact for radon programs were given for other organizations by realtors attending the class such as New Realtor Class in April, National Radon Poster Contest 2012 Workshops, Marketplace Networking Women Organization , Huntsville Rotary Club and Meeting with Mayor of Huntsville/ Building Inspection Code Official about getting radon in building code.
