Radon Lecture to Toxicology Class

Pat Smith appeared as guest lecture in Dr. Brent Olive's Industrial Toxicology class at the University of North Alabama. An effort is made through the course to increase the students awaqreness of important environmental health issues and the potential for adverse health effects resulting from environmental exposures. Delivered a general overview of the potential for residential exposure in Zone I areas, discussed the adverse health effects that have been linked to radon exposure, namely lung cancer , and distributed free radon test kits to each student so they could test their own homes .
