Capitol Steps--Missouri

Local AARST members and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services joined forces to inform state legislators of the need for radon awareness and action in Missouri. Gathering on the Missouri Capitol steps in Jefferson City, AARST and Department members created a photo op by displaying the Radon T and a sign advising Missourians to Reduce Radon in Missouri. The AARST members then dispersed to the legislators' offices to hand out information on radon in Missouri, a CanSAR leaflet, and postcards for free radon test kits. The activity has resulted in the introduction of a bill for certification of radon professionals and for radon awareness in the state.
