Science Fair Project

We are sponsering a High School student with his science project. He presented a science project last year titled "Got Radon" in which he won four prizes in the regional science fair at Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, MO. He and I tested seven homes, five with granite counter tops, in which he used data from for his project. Working with this student allowed us to test the Middle School. This year he wants to expand his project to perform soil testing at three home with elevated levels of radon. We have disigned and fabricated a probe that we can use in conjunction with our RAD7 Continuous Monitor to perform these tests. The probe will allow us to test next to the house's perimeter at subsurface levels beginning at one foot and every six inches thereafter to the three feet level. This was a very rewarding and educational experiance for the Tribes Environmental Radon Program.
