In an effort ti educate the citizens in the West County communities a radon awareness program about radon and its health risks for the Bessemer/West Jefferson County Chapter #5418 of the AARP Inc.was conducted at the Ethel hall auditorium located on Lawson State Community College. Radon bags containing radon information was distributed. The members were encouraged to test their homes for radon. Radon test kits were sold.
