Pat Smith, Alabama State Radon Coordinator attended and participated in the City Council Meeting in Weaver, Alabama (Calhoun County). Received proclalamtion from Mayor Wayne Willis declaring January 2013 as National Radon Action . Ms. Smith gave a presentation on radon and its health risks to the council members and citizens attending the meeting.Radon bags containing radon information and radon test kits were given to each council member, city clerk and city attorney. ersCitizens were informed that they could obtain radon test kits from the Calhoun County Extension Office in Anniston, Alabama.
