Pat Smith, Alabama State Radon Coordinator, submitted a news article titled November is National Lung Cancer in the Calhoun County Extension news letter. Smith highlights " New Canada research indicates that there are hundred more cases annually of lung cancer caused by indoor radon exposure than first determined in the late 1970." Smith encourages citizens to test their homes for radon. The newletter was distributed to 1,956 clients in Calhoun County.
