The American Industrial Hygiene Association recently established a Green Building Work Group, discussing indoor environmental quality in "green" buildings. We have concerns that new, highly insulated buildings may not have adequate ventilation. I have personally measured elevated formaldehyde in a number of new "green" homes. I suspect radon may be concentrated as well.
We are currently collecting regulations and recommendations from both the US and abroad. The information will be used to develop an AIHA white paper on indoor environmental quality in green buildings.
Please send me any relevant documents that might be appropriate to incorporate into our white paper.
Thank you,
Linda
