The 2010 Illinois High School Radon Video Contest was organized by the American Lung Association and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) along with University of Illinois Extension Office, Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 in order to increase awareness and to spread the word about the dangers of radon gas. Video judging is being completed by a state panel along with this public online voting in order to select a winning video. The corresponding school with the winning video will receive $2,000 for curricular activities. An additional $1,000 prize will be awarded to the class/ individual who created the video. The winning video will also be featured on the ALA-IL and IEMA web sites. ALL people visiting this site are encouraged to take a little time and vote for your favorite entry!
