Radon Colleagues,

I want to acknowledge a slight glitch in the collection of 2010 National Radon Action Month Activities and apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately, a small segment of NRAM activities that were submitted within the specified time period were not included in our final count. This was due to a glitch in the activity submittal form that deleted or did not recognize the start dates of these activities. Because the start date was one of the factors that we used to determine our final activity count, these activities were accidentally omitted.

We have taken several actions to address the issue. First, the activities that were affected by this glitch (a total of 91 activities) have been identified and re-introduced into the activities database with a start date. This means that all activities that met our criteria should now be included in the searchable database for NRAM 2010 activities. For your reference, the criteria that was used to determine our final activity count can be found here: http://www.radonleaders.org/nram/results_reporting. Secondly, we are revising the final results reporting information to include these omitted activities. We want to make sure that the work of radon stakeholders is recognized appropriately. You will see these updates reflected in the coming weeks in the 2010 NRAM results information on RadonLeaders.org and EPA’s NRAM website. Lastly, we have alerted the technical support team for RadonLeaders.org of the issue to ensure that it is corrected for the 2011 NRAM.

Thank you again for your dedication and hard work during the 2010 NRAM, and for using the activity submittal form on RadonLeaders.org to share your efforts with radon colleagues and the public. We are already gearing up for a successful 2011 NRAM and look forward to your continued contributions and results.
