1. Opening Day Plenary Proposals (due April 27, 2011)

The opening day of the International Radon Symposium is a joint plenary session held in cooperation with the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). AARST invites proposals, by April 27, for presentations that address common needs of radon professionals in private practice and the public sector.

Proposals should be 250 words or less and:

a. clearly state the significance and impact of the topic on the national and/or international radon community;
b. list proposed presenters;
c. state recommended time for presentation;
d. list the name and contact information of the individual submitting the proposal; and
e. be submitted electronically in Word (.doc) format to director@aarst.org

with "Opening Day Plenary Proposal" listed in the message subject line.

Selection of opening day plenary presentations proposals will be made by AARST and CRCPD in consultation with EPA.

2. Proposals for Symposium Concurrent Presentations (due April 27, 2010)

A limited number of 1 or 2 hour roundtables, workshops and seminars will run concurrently with the peer-reviewed scientific paper presentations. Proposals for these sessions should be 250 words or less and:

a. clearly state the significance and impact of the topic on the national and/or international radon community;
b. list proposed presenters;
c. state requested amount of time for the presentation;
d. list the name and contact information of the individual submitting the proposal; and
e. be submitted electronically in Word (.doc) format to director@aarst.org with "Concurrent Presentation Proposal" listed in the message subject line.

3. Proposals for Continuing Education (CE) Courses (due April 27, 2010) - Two types of continuing education session proposals are invited:

a. Pre-Symposium CE Courses (4 or 8 hours) - At least three courses are anticipated to be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011: 2 - 4 hour courses; and 1 - 8 hour courses or 4 - 4 hour courses. Proposals for these courses should be 250 words or less and:

1) list the requested amount of time;
2) state the primary target audience for the course;
3) clearly reflect the course's title, learning objectives, and presenters;
4) list the name and contact information of the individual submitting the proposal;
5) list current/pending course approvals; and
6) be submitted electronically in Word (.doc) format to director@aarst.org with "Pre-Symposium

Course Proposal" listed in the message subject line.

b. Symposium Concurrent CE Courses (1 or 2 hours) - A limited number of 1 or 2 hour CE courses will run concurrently with the peer-reviewed scientific paper presentations on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Proposals for these courses should be 250 words or less and:

1) list the requested amount of time (1 or 2 hours);
2) state the primary target audience for the course;
3) clearly reflect the course's title, learning objectives, and presenters;
4) list the name and contact information of the individual submitting the proposal;
5) list current/pending course approvals; and
6) besubmitted electronically in Word (.doc) format to director@aarst.org with "Symposium

Concurrent Course Proposal" listed in the message subject line.

Selection of concurrent presentation and continuing education proposals will be made by AARST Symposium Planning Committee.
