Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment hopes to give up to 100 families free radon mitigation systems each year. This assistance is provided through the Department’s Low Income Radon Mitigation Assistance Program as directed by statute. The goal of the initiative is to provide a safe living environment with respect to indoor air for low income households.

The Program is designed for persons who own their own home and are Colorado residents. Low-income households (defined uniquely to each Colorado County) that have tested properly and have results exceeding 4pCi/L qualify.

Policies and procedures for applying and obtaining funding are given in the manual https://environmentalrecords.colorado.gov/HPRMWebDrawerHM/Recordview/399385

A brochure with more detail is attached.
