During January, for National Radon Action Month, and continuing throughout the remainder of the winter, the Minnesota Department of Health activities include:
• Outreach through radio and television spots, highway billboards and internet ads
• Test kit distribution to over 100 partners (local health departments, housing and non-profits)
• Press release and media outreach to result in dozens of stories
• Ongoing classes, presentations, and articles to real estate, schools, child care, builders, and building officials
• Outreach with local hospitals, including media engagement, community education, and test kits
