Overview
This 16‐hour certification course focuses on preparing for the National Environmental Health Association or NationalRadon Safety Board measurement certification exam. Using information from the US Environmental Protection Agency and other resources, this course covers the following topics:

 Health risks associated with radon
 Sources of radon and radiation physics
 Measurement device types
 Quality assurance and quality control methods
 Protocols for conducting radon measurement
 Radon in water
 Interpreting and reporting measurement results
 Promoting the radon message

NOTE: Day three of the course is optional, and includes a review session and the certification exam.
Certification Credit

Upon completion of this course, participants are eligible to take the measurement certification exam for the following organizations:

 National Environmental Health Association (NEHA)
 National Radon Safety Board (NRSB)

 Fee: $325 KARP members, $350 pre‐registration, $375 no pre‐registration
 Date: April 12‐14, 2011—optional review and exam on April 22, 2011
 Time: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (lunch on your own from 12PM to 1PM)
