Richard Guimond is a registered Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia. Rich Guimond served as Assistant Surgeon General (Rear Admiral Lower Half) while concurrently serving as the EPA Director in the Office of Radiation Programs.
Guimond was responsible for developing the first ground-breaking Federal strategy to assess and reduce radon exposure throughout the United States. He was also responsible for all EPA programs regulating radiation exposure from industrial and other major sources.
