You are invited to the 1st Annual Region 3 Radon Stakeholders’ Meeting on Thursday April 5, 2012. The meeting is being held at no cost and is intended to bring together interested parties concerned with protecting the public from unnecessary exposure of radon in homes, schools, public and private buildings.
The Stakeholder’s meeting is being hosted by Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, in collaboration with the Region 3 office of the U.S. EPA, Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, and the District of Columbia Department of the Environment. The hope is to bring interested stakeholders together to discuss common issues and understand them from other perspectives, provide insight into the future, share, educate and network. We believe that meetings such as this will better provide all of us with ways to assist the public and reduce radon exposures.
In addition to the general meeting, we have organized an opportunity for continuing education credits through two-4 hour CE courses scheduled for Wednesday, April 4, 2012. More information on the courses will follow. The final day, Friday April 6 is only for states to discuss issues amongst themselves.
We anticipate a very informative agenda and hope to see many of you in Harrisburg. More specific details will follow posted on RLSL and individual states web sites.
