This accelerated one-day course focuses on the skills you need to understand the major factors unique to radon measurement in schools and large buildings. The target audiences for this course are school and large building managers, radon measurement professionals, environmental consultants, and public health officials. The goal of the course is to help participants design and manage radon measurement projects in schools and large buildings. Topics include test preparation, determining test locations, test procedures, required measurement conditions, quality control, and test documentation. The course is built around the new American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard, Protocols for Conducting Radon and Radon Decay Product Measurements in Schools and Large Buildings, which is designed to replace the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s school radon measurement protocols. This course has been submitted for National Radon Proficiency Program Category I continued education approval.
