Colorado’s Tri-County Health Department Announces NRAM
The Tri-County Health Department of Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas Counties, Colorado, has announced National Radon Action Month. The Department notes that radon levels in Colorado are high with approximately 50% of homes having levels in excess of 4.0 pCi/L, the EPA recommended action level.
The Department also is promoting Colorado’s Low Income Radon Mitigation Assistance (LIRMA) Program. Through this Program, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment assists low-income residents with funds of up to $1,500 for radon mitigation systems. This funding is limited and requires residents to own the home and carry proof of ownership.
Other promotions by the Department include Training for Real Estate Professionals provided by Tri-County Health Department that includes on-site training for real estate offices in the Denver Metro area.
