As part of its outreach and education efforts regarding radon, the University of Nevada, Reno, Radon Education Program, is participating in the Nevada Field Day, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM PDT.

The event is for all-ages and provides free activities, giveaways, tasty food samples and more events that are designed to highlight scientific breakthroughs in: • health & nutrition • children, youth & families • biochemistry & molecular biology • community & economic development • natural resources & environmental science • agriculture, horticulture, rangeland & veterinary sciences

Educational outreach includes topics on radon in the home, along with a wide range of subjects surrounding healthy living, animals and agriculture, funding opportunities and various agricultural topics.

Nevada Field Day is a collaborative project of the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources and its Experiment Station and Extension units. The Radon Education Program has participated in this event in previous years as well.
