The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control operates a Radon Program that provides radon education and outreach. An infographic presents radon data presented as risk for each SC County and is entitled “Radon Levels in South Carolina Homes. See https://www.scdhec.gov/sites/default/files/media/document/Radon_Map_2019.pdf

Results were compiled from tests conducted by homeowners using test kits provided by DHEC, and represent initial test for homes not previously mitigated for radon. Results ranges vary from the highest of 126.6 pCi/L in Greenville County. Pie charts in each county illustrates:

· Lower Risk Lower Risk (less than 2 pCi/L)

· Moderate (2-3.9 pCi/L)

· EPA Action Level (4 pCi/L)
