The Utah Department of Environmental Quality, Radon Program, has announced its 2020/2021 Radon Program Annual Poster Contest. Entries are due by October 22, 2020.
In Utah, one in three homes tested had elevated radon levels and the poster contest has a goal of informing people of the health risk from elevated radon levels and raise awareness for testing.
The Program says “Let the Educating and Testing of Radon Begin!” The contest is an opportunity for sharing information about radon and educating the public. The schedule is as follows:
· October 22 – Entries due to DEQ (postmarked)
· November 5 – State Voting begins
· November 12 – State Voting ends
· December 1 – Winners announced
· January – Winners will meet with Governor during National Radon Action Month
