The University of Georgia Atlanta (UGS) Radon Education Program continues to work providing virtual offerings to educate the public about the hazards of radon.
In Virtual Radon Classes, the Program provides radon classes for homeowners online, in order to provide instruction in a safe way during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The UGA Extension Service has included a radon course series in five modules. The series is “Healthy Environments in Early Care and Education.” The Radon Program developed this program for the online extension class services. The online courses are designed to help early childhood education teachers and childcare professionals understand how to keep the early care and education environment safe and healthy.
Learning objectives include learning:
· how radon can impact children;
· how to make a radon testing plan;
· how to communicate about radon testing; and
· how to fix elevated radon levels.
