The North Carolina Radon Program has created several brochures in its outreach efforts to education the public about radon. The files are attached. Please note the partnerships listed in each of the brochures.
We have much going on in NC where these materials will be distributed. Here are few items:
1) Dr. Field is presenting to North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians Virtual Winter Family Physicians Weekend December 4 and 5. https://web.cvent.com/event/74c72458-96ff-4865-b076-c5a08c5e4628/websitePage:645d57e4-75eb-4769-b2c…
2) The NC Real Estate Commission has granted the NC Radon Program a license to serve as an educational provider whereby we will be offering a 4-hour continuing education course on radon-induced lung cancer, radon issues in real estate, radon testing, and radon mitigation. I will be teaching this course. NC State University is our technology host and we will be providing this course multiple times each year to reach the 100,000 plus real estate brokers working in NC.
3) The NC Radon Program has partnered with Western North Carolina Green Built organization to provide a 4-hour radon education program. This will be a CE course for general contractors.
4) Thanks to the grant award from CRCP to the National African American Tobacco Prevention Network, we will be partnering with them to develop their program and distributing these materials.
5) The NC Radon Program is also partnering with the NC Quitline in developing a Tobacco/Radon brochure that the NC Quitline will distribute along with the attached brochure. The Tobacco/Radon brochure is still be compiled. We hope to have it completed in the next month.
