The Energy Association of Iowa Schools is promoting a Radon Action Challenge and T-shirt fundraiser through its website at https://eais.betterworld.org/campaigns/RadonFundraiser

The announcement is as follows:

Help prevent lung cancer with a donation to the Orcutt Radon Reduction Foundation Fund! With a minimum donation of $35, you'll receive this T-shirt displaying radon warrior, Gail Orcutt's, wise words: "Fixing radon is easy. Lung cancer is not."

Gail was a person of action as she advocated locally and nationally for radon action and change. With the foundation fund she and her husband created after her death from complications of radon-induced lung cancer, Gail's dream and final goal was to help fund low income radon mitigation in order to reduce the burden of radon-induced lung cancer in Iowa.

The deadline for the T-shirt perk is December 18, 2020. Shirts will be shipped during january 2021 radon action month.

The Iowa Radon Action Challenge operates under a mini-grant from the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors.
