Project Funding Available to Meet Cancer Plan MN 2025 Objectives

The Minnesota Cancer Alliance is pleased to announce funding for up to $5,000 to support projects that align work around at least one objective of Cancer Plan MN 2025. The funding is available through MDH’s Comprehensive Cancer Control Program and supports Minnesota Cancer Alliance’s Strategy Action Groups. The funded project must include a partnership with at least two Minnesota Cancer Alliance member organizations. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed by the MN Cancer Alliance Steering Committee on a quarterly basis. See the plan at https://mncanceralliance.org/cancer-plan/

How the Indoor Air Unit Can Help

The Minnesota Department of Health’s Indoor Air Unit is a Minnesota Cancer Alliance member organization. Because of our expertise with radon, MDH’s Indoor Air Unit staff can help you complete a work plan to apply for projects related to Objective 15 - Radon. The Minnesota Department of Health’s Indoor Air has completed two projects in the past using funding to support Minnesota Cancer Alliance’s Strategy Action Group on Radon, Objective 15 in the cancer plan. One was a project piloting free radon mitigation services to those most at need, while another worked with a health care system to increase radon testing in Northern Minnesota.
