Chapter 2: Risk Reduction includes strategies for radon
Strategies include:
Strategy A: Increase awareness of the connection between radon and cancer risk.
Strategy B: Increase the testing for and mitigation of radon in homes and other buildings.
Strategy C: Increase the number of residential buildings built or remodeled using radon reducing methods.
Each strategy includes multiple action steps.
Measures include number of homes mitigated and number of homes tested per year with goals to increase by 2030. Homes tested (8050) is targeted for increase to 15,000 by 2030.
Percent of adults whose homes have been tested is a measurement, with a goal of increasing from 37.2% to 60% by 2030.
