The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has published information specific to child care facilities and radon testing on its website with referral to brochures with details.

The brochure titled “All Child Care Facility Testing Directions” includes information on where and when to test and provides FAQs. Included is guidance on interpreting the results and mitigation. Child care facilities in Colorado have been required to test for radon since a 2017 deadline for initial testing. An additional brochure, “Radon-Get the Facts,” provides information on steps for testing for radon.
