Florida Highights Historical Radon Poster Winners

Florida Health highlights historical radon poster winners from 2008 through 2021 created by Florida students in the annual poster contest. Some entries became winners in the national contest. In eight of the years, entries were judged as national winners.

The posters depict the importance for testing for and mitigating radon levels in excess of the recommended levels suggested by EPA. In Florida, one in five homes tested has elevated radon levels above the action level of 4 pCi/L. Outreach to the public about the importance of radon to their health includes the annual radon poster contest.

The radon poster contest opens September 1 and closes November 1 with winners notified by December 31. Information for the contest includes:
