Data as of June 30, 2022, indicates that Nevada is making progress in efforts to construct homes that include radon resistant new construction (RRNC). Statewide total of 560 homes have been constructed with RRNC.

Clark, Douglas and Washoe Counties lead the state in the number of homes built with RNCC. The Radon Program maps indicate that those counties have large areas where the radon potential is great. Of homes tested in Nevada, 26% had elevated radon levels.

The Nevada Cancer Plan 2021-2025 addresses radon exposure through RNCC. New homes built radon-resistant had a baseline of 531. The target for improvement is 660 and current number built is 560.
