One of two recipients of the Radon Hero Award designed by CRCPD at the Training Event in 2022 is:

Achievements cited for the award were:

Chrystine has dedicated her entire working career in the Colorado Radon Program to reducing radon exposure for her state’s residents.

She demonstrated her commitment through new and innovative approaches to her SIRG workplans. Her Program was the first to use SIRG funds to pay for mitigation for low-income residents in her state which was an exciting project to hear about.

Development and/or implementation of good practice include too many examples to name. She has developed and implemented a streamlined approach to the National Radon Poster Contest most recently.

She has delivered and supported consistent messaging as the leader of the CRCPD E-25 Committee on Radon during multiple venues.

She collaborates with her E-25 Committee colleagues to promote change within the industry-most recently with exciting HUD changes to radon policy.

She has made great strides in her State of Colorado projects that have proven sustainable for radon risk reduction as shown in the measurable outcomes she presents about.
