The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Radon Program provides radon resources for educators. “Radon in Idaho” is a 27-page online presentation about radon with information unique to Idaho.

The presentation’s learning objectives are:

· Describe radon and its health effects.

· Explain how radon enters homes and how to test for it.

· Interpret radon test results.

Throughout the presentation, there are “Learning Checks,” given as a series of questions, which test the teaching progress.

An accompanying “Lesson Plan” publication gives teaching direction and notes how the teachings may meet the Idaho Science Standards.

The Radon Lesson Plan is as follows:

Summary: This lesson will provide information on radon, including the definition, sources, health effects, testing methods, and interpretation of test results.
