The Pooled Uranium Miners Analysis (PUMA) provides the largest and most informative database to date to estimate the risk of death from lung cancer due to cumulative radon exposure in studies of uranium miners.

PUMA clearly strengthens evidence on the shape of the exposure–response relationship between radon exposure and lung cancer mortality in uranium miners and thus the estimation of the lifetime excess absolute risk (LEAR).
