The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) began requiring radon testing in all licensed childcare centers, and remediation when necessary, as of 2023.
This is the first legislatively required radon testing in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Radon Program of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is working closely with Kansas State University to develop trainings for licensing specialists, childcare providers, and measurement and mitigation professionals.
