The Arizona Department of Health Services’ Indoor Radon Surveillance Program, in the past ten years, has distributed more than 4,000 free radon testing kits to the public.
The results of testing are now available on the Arizona Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) Explorer on line at https://gis.azdhs.gov/ephtexplorer/. The Community Profiles Dashboard used previously is now retired and the data is being migrated to the EPHT Data Explorer, and future updates can be found there.
Data are available for buildings tested with pre and post-mitigation values, and are given by percent, median and maximum values. Results are shown by county. Data are available through 2017 and additional data will be added continually to bring the site to current status.
Through the department's Bureau of Radiation Control, at https://www.azdhs.gov/licensing/radiation-regulatory/index.php#radon-home, additional facts and guidance about radon are provided.
