From our last meeting of the CRCPD E-25 Committee on Radon, here is an update regarding events and participation.
Events Held
• March 4 - Region 7 Radon Stakeholders Meeting with Joshua Kerber (MN) and Kim Steves (CRCPD) participating. Joshua Kerber presented on behalf of CRCPD.
• April 1 - Region 4 Radon Stakeholders Meeting with Kim Steves attending remotely and presenting on behalf of CRCPD.
• May 1 - ICC (International Code Council) Hearings. Kim Steves participated on behalf of CRCPD.
• May 8/9 - New England IEA (Indoor Environments Association) Chapter Meeting with Michelle Thompson (VT) participating and presenting on behalf of CRCPD.
• May 21 - CRCPD National Meeting – Special Interest Session on Radon with Kim Steves (CRCPD), Eleanor Divver (UT) and Christine Kelly (NV) presenting.
• May 22 - CRCPD National Meeting – CRCPD Radon Initiatives and E-25 Update presentation provided by Kim Steves and Eleanor Divver during the full plenary session.
• May 19-22 - National Tribal Forum on Air Quality. Leslie Smith (MI) attended and presented a break-out session on radon initiatives on behalf of CRCPD.
Upcoming Events
• June 3 - Region 3 Radon Stakeholders with Denise Bleiler (PA). NOTE: This meeting has been postponed until September 2025.
• June 24-25 – National Radon Action Plan (NRAP) Leadership Council in Washington DC.
• August 14 - Region 5 Stakeholders with Leslie Smith (MI) scheduled to attend and present on behalf of CRCPD.
• September 9 - Region 8/9/10 Stakeholders with Eleanor Divver (UT) scheduled to attend and present on behalf of CRCPD.
• October 26 – E-25 plans to offer Building Technical Capacity training on radon mitigation for states and tribes prior to the IEA Radon and Vapor Intrusion Symposium in Fort Worth, TX.
