At the 57th National Conference on Radiation Control in May, Eleanor Divver (UT) and Kimberly Steves (CRCPD) presented information on CRCPD’s radon activities and an update on the E-25 Committee on Radon.
Regarding the CRCPD Radon Cooperative Agreement, CRCPD is an EPA Cooperative Agreement Recipient for a three year project covering the time period between 10/1/2024 and 9/30/2027. This project is entitled “Building Technical Capacity for Radon Risk Reduction.”

E-25 Committee on Radon activities involve work on the National Radon Action Plan, coordinating the National Radon Poster and Video contest, work on developing a consumer guide for continuous digital radon monitors (CDRMs) and a partnership with IEA (formerly AARST) for the Radon and Vapor Intrusion Symposium. The committee is also involved with International Code Council (ICC) Building Codes for Radon Resistant New Construction.
