The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has updated data on radon testing in Idaho now available in an interactive map. The data are updated through December 2024 and available online.

Map layers include Certified Radon Mitigation Specialists, Uranium +30 ug/L, Tribal Lands, County Boundaries, and Elevated Radon Test per Zip Code. The upper-right corner of the map has a search bar that allows you to search a zip code directly rather than manually finding and clicking. In this option bar, you have the option to display available layers or make them invisible depending on what you want to see on the map. The last option is a search tool that allows you to search by county. When a county is a selected, all of the zip code results will be available for selection. Idaho’s radon map is for educational purposes.

Two out of five Idaho homes tested had elevated radon levels (above 3.9 pCi/L). The total number of tests as of December 2024 was 43,783.
