Mexico Cancer Control Plan Recognized for Including Radon

In its 2024 report on successes in radon programs, EPA noted successes of including radon in cancer control plans (CCPs).

Specifically, EPA noted that the New Mexico CCP includes a section focused on radon education, exposure, and mitigation. It includes strategies such as education for residents, homeowners, building owners, sellers, realtors, and policymakers about the risks of lung cancer from radon and the benefits of testing for and implementing RRNC features in homes.
