Florida Testing Requirement for Schools and Various Facilities

In Florida, radon testing is required for all public and private school buildings or school sites housing students in kindergarten through grade 12; all state-owned, state-operated, state-regulated, or state-licensed 24-hour care facilities; and all state-licensed day care centers for children or minors, based on their county. The Florida Department of Health website provide a map explaining in which counties testing is required (https://www.floridahealth.gov/environmental- health/radon/maps/index.html).

The department provides details on requirements at
