The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has a newly released Radon Mitigation for Child Care Providers brochure (August 2025). All licensed family and group child care centers in Wisconsin are required to test for radon and mitigate (reduce) it if levels are found above 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L).
The brochure explains why radon is important and what to do if test results are high and also provides some funding information.
