CRCPD’s E-25 Committee on Radon offers Building Technical Capacity Training at the 2025 Indoor Environments Radon & Vapor Intrusion Symposium
Contributed by Kim Steves, CRCPD
On the Sunday before the 2025 Radon and Vapor Intrusion Symposium, the CRCPD E-25 Committee offered Building Technical Capacity (BTC) training to state and tribal attendees at no cost. The training was titled “Optimal Mitigation and Advanced Diagnostics.” It provided the students with detailed information on radon mitigation diagnostics, including opportunities for hands-on practice with equipment and diagnostic activities, and practice designing an optimal radon mitigation system with the correct radon fan.
Joshua Kerber (MN), E-25 Chair, designed and led the training with assistance from radon trainers from Kansas State University. There were 17 state and tribal radon program partners in attendance, and reviews of the training were very positive.
E-25 plans to offer BTC training on an ongoing basis at future Radon and Vapor Intrusion Symposiums or other events. If there are specific topics on which your program would like training, please reach out to Joshua Kerber at joshua.kerber@state.mn.us with your ideas and suggestions.
