The South Carolina Department of Environmental Services uses its department blog to promote NRAM in its January 12, 2026 posting “Protect Your Home and Family During National Radon Action Month.”
It suggests actions that can be taken, including:
Test your home for radon to learn if you have elevated radon levels.
Seal cracks and openings in your foundation to prevent radon from coming in.
Consider professional mitigation if radon levels are high so that a certified professionals can install systems to reduce radon safely.
Educate your family and neighbors by sharing information.
