In its report titled "Overview of EPA’s State and Tribal Indoor Radon Grants Program: A Focus on Activities Conducted During Fiscal Year 2025," the EPA State Indoor Radon Grant Program notes successes in Testing and Remediation of Schools and Childcare Facilities.
EPA noted in its report a successful collaboration to test public schools. The Washington D.C. Radon Program collaborated with the Department of General Services to test more than 25 public schools for the presence of radon. All the facilities tested during this reporting cycle were below the action level.
