In its report titled "Overview of EPA’s State and Tribal Indoor Radon Grants Program: A Focus on Activities Conducted During Fiscal Year 2025," the EPA State Indoor Radon Grant Program notes successes in inclusion of radon in Cancer Control Plans (CCPs).
EPA noted in its report that the Maine Cancer Control Plan includes many radon specific objectives, including educating the public about the importance of using certified radon mitigators and reducing financial barriers to installing radon mitigation systems in buildings that have elevated radon levels.
