In its report titled "Overview of EPA’s State and Tribal Indoor Radon Grants Program: A Focus on Activities Conducted During Fiscal Year 2025," the EPA State Indoor Radon Grant Program notes successes in addressing radon in home and residential real estate transactions.

EPA noted in its report that more than 1,300 housing units in Delaware were tested for radon, and more than 200 of the tests resulted as part of real estate transactions. The state radon program also helped citizens educate a homeowner’s association that was originally blocking residents from installing radon mitigation systems because of aesthetic reasons and successfully advocated for more testing in the neighborhood and mitigation systems when appropriate.
