All-
Just Thought I would share with you a picture of the passive radon system we were asked to activate last week.  The builder claims this new setup is helping pass the radon test.  It is just two pipes run from the outside footer drain to the surface.  They wanted to know how much money they would save if we just attached one of our motors to it.  We explained to them there was no guarantee  it would work and they would be charged for two systems if we had to tear it out and start over.  They decided to abandon these pipes and  let the professionals install a nice interior unit.

Why do we distinguish between homeowners and builders?    Their lobbying groups try really hard to make everyone think they own the home they are building so they can do whatever they want.  Yet they have no more knowledge of radon reduction than the typical homeowner.  Maybe we should just group them as one entity: homeowners.
