Local Poster Contest

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department, sponsored a poster contest along with the National Safety Council Poster contest. This gave us the opportunity to have local winners with local prizes. The local winners were then submitted to the Nebraska Radon Program for the national contest.
We were excited to have over 30 entries from 6 different schools in our 8 county region of Southwest Nebraska, as this was the first time this agency has done something like this. We heard many positive comments, from students, teachers, parents and other community members. The posters have been kept and will be displayed in banks in each of the participant's communities during Radon Action Month.
